The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Romania (BCCBR) attended the official opening of the Sliven Industrial Park, which is part of the Chamber’s community and a long-standing member and business partner.
The program included the official opening ceremony of the Sliven Industrial Park—the first of a total of 11 sites under the Program for the Development of Industrial Areas in Bulgaria—featuring a ribbon-cutting, a site tour, and an introduction for guests to the park’s existing infrastructure and potential. The guests at the ceremony were welcomed by Mr. Solomon Moscona, manager of the Sliven Industrial Park.
A key part of the program was the “Invest in Sliven” business forum, which brought together representatives of institutions, local government, and the business community, as well as representatives of the bilateral chambers of commerce of Turkey, Greece, and Romania, with the aim of promoting economic cooperation and investment in the region.
The forum was opened by Mr. Stefan Radev, Mayor of Sliven, who emphasized the importance of genuine partnerships that would give meaning to the investments made so far in the Industrial Park and attract businesses that would enhance the image of the city, the region, and Bulgaria.
During the forum, the Acting Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, Mr. Angel Ivanov, presented Bulgaria’s investment advantages, the tools for promoting investment, and the Agency’s role in supporting investors.
The Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Romania (BCCBR) was among the key participants in the forum and played a significant role in adding a distinct international dimension to the event by organizing and coordinating the participation of a delegation of Romanian companies and its members (TUV Austria - Romania, Urbio Group), who arrived in Sliven with a specific interest in establishing partnerships with Bulgarian firms. The Romanian business representatives operate in various sectors, creating a wide range of opportunities for cooperation with local businesses.

B2B meetings were held during the forum, where the companies had the opportunity to discuss potential joint projects, market expansion, and the exchange of best practices. The participation of Romanian companies contributed to strengthening economic ties between the two markets and highlighted the role of the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Bulgaria-Romania as an active mediator in building sustainable business partnerships.
The forum organizers noted increased interest in international participation and emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the development of the regional economy. For their part, representatives of the BCCBR expressed their readiness to continue supporting Bulgarian and Romanian companies in the process of connecting and expanding their presence in neighboring markets.
